Family Game Night

Hannah requested that we come home from church, put on our jammies and have a game night. So, we played Hi Ho Cherry Oh and Tibbar's Apple Race together. Bailey sat in the bumbo and hung out while we played games. She loves to be in the middle of the action. We all had a good time playing together. It was great to hang out at home and have some good family fun. We need to do this more often.

Hannah's Preschool Graduation

Hannah had her preschool graduation last week. We are so proud of her! She woke up and came downstairs and I cheered "Last day of School, Woohoooo!!!" I thought she would be so excited and was a little surprised when she said, "It's not funny mom!" and the tears began to flow. She wasn't at all happy (and still isn't) that she would be done with school. She LOVES going to school. Mrs. Leslie was an amazing teacher and Hannah truly loves her. I think she misses her more than her little friends. She was excited to have us go to school with her and to see their little program.

Here is Hannah and Mrs. Mirna

All of the kids came into the classroom wearing Monkey masks and tails. It was pretty cute. The sang some songs for us, including the spanish song that we have been hearing her sing for the past few months. Mrs. Leslie and Mrs. Mirna presented each child with a book full of things they have done this year and their graduation certificate. They asked them to tell us what their favorite color is and what they want to be when they grow up. Hannah's favorite color is pink and she said she wanted to be a cop when she grows up. Mrs. Leslie laughed and then told us that the day before she said she wanted to be a mom. Either way, she will be great at whatever she decides to be. The teachers put together a video from all of the pictures they took throughout the year and showed it to us. I was so excited to have the CD in her book for us to keep. It's fun to see all of the things they learned this year. We are thankful for Mrs. Leslie, Mrs. Mirna, and Mrs. Pam. They all left a lasting impression on Hannah.

My girls

These are a few random pictures that I love. We had the Layton family birthday dinner on Sunday but I didn't get any pictures. We got to enjoy a little visit with Grandpa Layton and Grandma Kathi when we got to Blackfoot on Saturday night. It was great to see all of our family Sunday. The weather was actually good enough to spend some time outside. The kids had a great time running, jumping on the trampoline, and playing basketball. Hannah LOVES spending time with her cousins.
I finally got a picture of her smiling at us. Her whole face lights up when she smiles.
Hannah is a good big sister. She helps feed Bailey, changes diapers and even rocks her to sleep. Bailey keeps a close on eye on her and loves it when Hannah sings to her. Scott recorded them "singing" together. I have to say that it's pretty darn cute. I don't know how to get a video on here so you will just have to take my word for it.
I sure hope these two remain best friends forever. Love these girls!

Preschool

Hannah has an amazing preschool teacher. We love Mrs. Leslie. She is so cute with the kids. For the kids that have summer birthdays they picked a different day to celebrate their birthday at school. They asked us to come to volunteer in the class that day and Hannah could bring a treat to share. She was so excited to go to school and have a birthday with her "friends". She got to wear a birthday crown and the kids sang happy birthday to her in English and then in Spanish. It was pretty cute. Here's a picture of her and Mrs. Leslie while the kids were singing. Scott stayed and volunteered in her class.
The teachers told Hannah that she could bring Bailey in for show and tell when I had her so she has been waiting for this day for a long time. We told her that it had to be a little warmer before we would bring Bailey to school. Since we were going to be there for her birthday it was the perfect time. Hannah got to stand at the front of the class with her teacher and Bailey. Mrs. Leslie asked the kids questions about Bailey. Some of their answers were pretty cute. One kid asked why she didn't come in the "Show and Tell Bag". (When it's your turn to bring show and tell they send a bag home with you that the kids bring their item to school in) Mrs Leslie told them that Bailey wouldn't be able to breath if she was stuck in the bag. Kind of funny. Then she asked the kids what kind of food Bailey ate. One of them thought she would eat broccoli. Kids are too cute! After show and tell Bailey and I made our escape and left daddy and Hannah at school.

Spring Dance Recital

Friday night was the Dance By Denise spring dance recital. This is Hannah's second year doing tap and jazz. She loves going to dance each week and is constantly dancing around the house. She was super excited to tap dance to "Tangled" (I've Got a Dream) and do her jazz dance to Bust a Move. I love to watch her dance! Christian, my cousins little boy, is in her dance class. They have so much fun together. I love that they can do these activities together. They had lots of people there to cheer them on. Grandma & Grandpa Mestek, Aunt Susu, Lina, Chino, Barbie, and Grandma Chris. Thank you all for coming and supporting them. Hannah asked Barbie if she was going to bring her some flowers and wouldn't you know it, Barbie and Grandma Chris came in with flowers and a pink monkey. She was thrilled! Aunt Susu gave her some money and Lina brought her a fun Tinker Bell set. She was on cloud nine. Scott recorded it so we could share it with those of you that want to see it. A big thanks to Denise for teaching my little girl to dance.

Hannah's pictures

We gave Hannah a little digital camera for her to use. She loves to take pictures! Here are a few of her random pictures that she has taken in the past week or so. It's fun to see what she takes pictures of. We all went to watch Tucker play baseball so some of the pictures are from there. She does a pretty good job. We have to start saving some of these pictures so we don't lose them like we did with her first camera.
Hannah LOVES to have her pictures taken. I took this one for her (at her request)
This one cracks me up. She was supposed to be getting ready to go to her dance recital. Instead, I found her up in her room taking pictures of herself. Too funny!
I think this is a picture of Tucker at bat.
Max, up close and personal
Me and Bailey - I think she did pretty good with this one.

I love that Hannah enjoys taking pictures and will always encourage her to do so. I'm sure we will have many fun pictures to post. You never know what you're going to get with a four year old behind the camera. I think she must get her love of photography from my dad and I.

Jungle Jim's

Hannah and Christian had a dance recital at the Elementary School so Lina and I decided it would be a good day for us to take the day off work and have some fun with these two. We took them to Jungle Jim's and let them run and play. They had a great time. They are such good little friends/cousins. I love that they have each other to play with. Lina and I had fun watching them run around and play. This was certainly a good time and we will be doing it again. Thanks to Lina for suggesting it. The kids had a blast!

Bailey's Blessing Day

Sunday May 1st was a beautiful day for a blessing. Our little Bailey looked like an angel in her dress. We had so many family/friends come to support on us her special day. It really made me realize how lucky we are to have so many special people in our lives. Thank you to everyone for coming! She cried through the blessing but it was wonderful none the less. Bailey came into this world with a bang and we are thankful that she is a fighter. Her strong will and determination helped us to get her out of the NICU.

Me and Bailey - Getting ready for church

Bailey and Jackson got to "play" together again. Bailey is so lucky to have little Jackson to grow up with. It's fun to see how much these two grow and change together. Three months old in this picture. Look how cute they both are in their outfits. I LOVE Jackson shirt with the tie on it, too cute! I hope they will be lifelong friends/cousins.

Thank you to all of our friends and family for sharing in this special day. We love and appreciate all of you!
