Happy 5th Birthday Hannah Kay!!

Five years ago this little girl came into the world and forever changed our lives. She has Scott and I wrapped around her little finger. Hannah is a great big sister and Bailey adores her. She woke up bright and early and was super excited to have our family come over for a little birthday BBQ. We let her open a couple of presents from us and one that the Crapo's got her.
After she opened a few gifts she went and hid in her room to play with her new things until it was time to go to church. She was way excited to have the kids in primary sing the birthday song to her. Sister Patterson gave her a little bag with some "treasures" in it and she even got a little birthday crown to wear. She was on cloud nine when we picked her up after Primary.

Most of my family came over for a BBQ that night. Thank you to everyone for coming! We are lucky to live close to one another. I love it spending time with them. I didn't get many pictures of everyone but here are a few.

Jammie, David, and Cassi Aunt Susu, Uncle Martin, and Lina
Hannah and Christian Ian, Christian, and Hannah

Hannah was spoiled rotten. She got some fun things and was thrilled. She had a fun filled birthday.
Uncle Mike has done this with all the kids. It makes me a little nervous but Bailey seemed to enjoy herself. Look at her standing and balancing on his hand. What a big girl!

Birthday at the salon

For the first part of Hannah's birthday she got to take Abby and Addison with her to the salon for a "girl" day. Marci did a cute up-do for each of them and then painted their finger nails and toe nails. The girls were so much fun! Sorry for all the pictures. I was crazy camera mom. This is only about half of them.
Hannah, Addison, and Abby - Just getting to Marci's salon. Such cute girls!

Hannah got to go first since she was the birthday girl. Marci made these cute flower bows for each of the girls. Hannah's hair turned out so cute She was all smiles.

Here they are all done up and looking like little princesses.

We had some pizza for lunch and then Hannah got to open her gifts from the girls. She got a fairy, from Tinkerbell, doll and a Cleo dog and book. She loves them all. We have already read the book many times and she hasn't let the dog or doll out of her sight.

Abby and Addison decided to dress up. Silly girls! They all played some games and then watched a short 3-D movie. They looked pretty cute sitting there with those glasses on. I enjoyed hearing them laugh and run around together. I think my favorite part of the day was listening to all of them in the backseat singing and dancing to the radio.

Cute toes and fingers! They all have blue glittery polish on.

I think the day was a success. Hannah had a great time and loved getting to have her friends over to celebrate her birthday. We will celebrate with family on her real birthday, next Sunday, and then we will be off to Island Park for a little vacation at the cabin.

Independence Day 2011

This post is going to be loaded with pictures. We went to my parents house for dinner and fireworks Saturday night. I made sure our girls had good naps so they would be nice and happy all night. Hannah got to light some sparklers with Tyler while we waited for the sun to go down to do the rest of them.

Notice that she has her flip flops on the wrong feet. This is how she likes to wear them...how can that not feel funny??

Grandpa Mestek and Hannah Kay - Enjoying the fireworks together
Daddy and Bailey - She LOVED the fireworks!

We were all happy to sleep in Sunday morning. We were all tired and happy to hang out and take our time getting ready for church. After church we came home, had dinner and relaxed. I even made us some cinnamon rolls for a Sunday treat. Scott decided to put up the tent and have a little "camp out". Bailey and I ditched and slept nice and cozy in our beds. Hannah went out and helped Scott put the tent up. Before we knew it she had her sleeping bag out there and was ready to get it all set up.
We will have to do this again. Hannah loved it and next time Bailey and I will join in.

Monday morning we all got up and worked in the yard. Hannah even helped pull some of the weeds with me. She's a good helper and is usually eager to help. I was so glad it wasn't too hot out there. Scott had a customer call that wanted to buy a car today so we all got ready and headed downtown. While he was at work the girls and I went to visit with my parents. Grandpa Mestek has Hannah's pumpkin plant in his garden so we went out to see how much it has grown. I sure hope we get at least one pumpkin off it...I'm a little nervous. We picked Scott up and came back home. Scott tried to teach Hannah to ride her bike. Bailey and I hung out and enjoyed the nice weather. We snuck in a short nap while we were out there.
Me and my girls

Hannah was super growly and got sent to time out. It got real quiet, she feel asleep in her room. A little later she came out, sat on the stairs and growled some more at us. Again, it got quiet. When Scott went to check on her this is what he found.

Poor Hannah, fast asleep on our stairs. How she managed to sleep like this and not fall off is a mystery to me. Bless her heart, she was one tired and ornery girl!Once Hannah woke up from her nap she put on some dress up clothes. Today she was Tinker Bell. A pretty cute one if I don't say so myself!
We made us yummy sandwiches for dinner and headed out for a picnic in the front yard. We enjoyed more fireworks tonight, thanks to all of our neighbors. What a fun filled weekend we have had. Our girls are fast asleep and Scott and I get to relax before we are off to bed. Happy 4th of July!

Western Stampede

Friday night we decided to take the kids to the Western Stampede. We hadn't been before and it was a little smaller than we expected but we all had a good time. Hannah wanted to ride the pony and smiled the entire time she was on. The past few years she has been scared to ride on them so we were happy to have her change her mind and decide she likes it after all.
Both girls got their faces painted. You can't really see Baileys but she got a little sunshine with a smiley face. She didn't like them painting on her face.
Hannah got a pink flower. She was not very happy when she woke up Saturday morning and some of it had rubbed off. These are a few pictures of Hannah on the little kid rides. She kept telling us that they were boring. She's a girl after my own heart. She likes the bigger rides. I took her on the Tilt A Whirl and she laughed and giggled the entire time. The faster I could make it spin the more she would laugh.

Bailey also turned five months old so we thought we better get a picture of her. What a joy she is to have in our home! She is laughing and talking more. She keeps a close eye on her big sister.

Christian's soccer game

This is my cute nephew (he's really my cousins little boy) Christian. Him and Hannah are the best of buddies. Last year they played soccer together but this year Christian is playing without her. We got to go cheer him last week. It was a perfect day for soccer. Hannah had the camera and took many pictures at the game. These are a few that turned out good.
