Play Date

I had some time off work last week. The girls and I got to spend a day hanging out with Kelly, Jackie, and Jackson. It was so much fun to let the kids play and visit. Hannah had a great time and was even to play out on the trampoline a little. She was happy to find a nice chicken feather, which she carries everywhere with her. I'm sad to say that I didn't get any pictures of her. I'll have to do better next time.
Jackson, Jackie and Bailey
They had a great time playing together. It's been fun to have them the same age.
Bailey - my sweet baby!

Jackson - Love his sweet little face!
He liked playing with Hannah's purse. Thought I better get a picture for his daddy.

Thanks to Kelly and Jackie for a fun lazy day together. We even got to see Holly and Becky for a little while. We need to do this more often. What a great way to spend a day off work!

The Great Escape and Family Fun

Bailey is crawling everywhere and is into EVERYTHING. In an effort to contain her while I cooked dinner, I made a barricade of laundry baskets. I figured she would play with her toys and I would be able to get dinner cooked without chasing her up the stairs. Well.....I was wrong! She quickly made her escaped. This is her in action.

Oh dear, we are in trouble with this one! She is one busy little girl. Good thing she is so darn cute.

For FHE we had our lesson on scriptures. I was shocked at how much Hannah knew. She really pays close attention and has learned a lot in primary. I'm so thankful for her teachers that have helped her learn and grow. After our lesson we had a family game of bowling on the Wii.
Miss Bailey thought she was playing with us. She was too happy to actually get to hold a remote.
Hannah loves to bowl on the Wii. She does pretty good! One of these days we will get her out to a real bowling alley. I once told her that the thunder was the people in heaven bowling. She then asked "Mom, do they have Wii's in Heaven???"
Love these two girls!

Scott made us all a pancake breakfast one day. Hannah loves to have the last pancake because it's usually the biggest. She had been telling Scott that she wanted the biggest one and that she would eat it all. My Scott thought he was soo funny and made this HUGE pancake for her. She was so excited when she seen it. She managed to eat about 1/10 of it. Her eyes were bigger than her stomach!

Christmas 2011

Christmas morning was a lot of fun this year. Both girls were super cute. Scott and I really enjoyed it this year. I think I was the first up at 5:30. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep. I was happy when Bailey finally got up. She had her bottled and then Hannah finally woke up. I made them pose for a quick picture before they opened their gifts.
Sure do love these girls!
Both of them were focused on opening their gifts.
Bailey and her pillow pet.
Hannah and her new robe. This is what she told Santa she wanted
Bailey and her new phone - By far her favorite toy
Hannah and her Silly Hair doll - Scott searched high and low for this doll.
Bailey and daddy
The girls got new dresses for Christmas. They looked pretty cute all dressed up in their matching dresses. Love it when I can find matching dresses for them.

Bailey likes Hannah's new chair. She looked pretty cute sitting in it
After they opened presents and played for a little while we went to my parents house for breakfast. I didn't take any pictures but they had a great time there. Grandpa Mestek made us some of his famous pancakes, sausage, and skillet eggs. I think Bailey enjoyed the pancakes more than any of us. They were both spoiled. We got to hang out and visit for awhile before we had to head home for church. We had a really nice Christmas sacrament meeting. After church the Mestek's all came over for dinner. It was a fun day and I loved that we were able to spend so much time with family. I'm bummed that I didn't get the camera out. Oh well! It was nice visiting and playing.

Layton Family Christmas Party

On Christmas Eve we had the Layton family Christmas party. Scott and I loaded up the girls and made the drive to Blackfoot. This year they held the party at a church there. We got there a little early and were able to spend some quality time with Aunt Kendra.
Hannah, Kendra, and Bailey

Grandpa Layton made us a yummy prime rib dinner and everyone brought sides to share. It was all great food and fun to sit around and visit with everyone. The kids all got to run and play together. They even made a little baby coral to let the little ones play in.

Every year the kids do a pinata. This year it was a cute cupcake. All of the kids get to take turns and go from the youngest to oldest. It's always a "hit" with the kids. This is the first year that Hannah actually hit it hard.

Kyler hit is so hard that he broke the stick - Oops!

It was a fun-filled day! Grandpa and Kathi got all the kids cute new jammies. Aunt Stefney made all the kids little piggybanks with their name and birthdays on them. They were a hit! It's always nice to watch the kids running and playing together. I love that they all get along so well together and wished that we lived closer so they could play more.
