Wicked

We have been waiting for this night for a very long time.  We got out tickets in November of last year.  I have been super excited to see this play.  What a great date night out for us.  Thank you to my parents for keeping the girls for us so we could go.

Scotty and I
Hannah took these pictures of us before we left the house
We met Carrie and Brittnie for dinner and the Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square.  I totally forgot to take a picture of us all there.  It was so fun to get to visit and catch up with Carrie and the food wasn't bad either.

Brittnie and Carrie - So cute, love them!

The play was amazing!  Well worth the wait.  We all had a great night.

Neighborhood Day of Service 2012

This year the Relief Society was in charge of our neighborhood day of service.  It was interesting to plan it and find projects to work on.  It was planned on a weekend that many people were out of town.  We were concerned that we wouldn't have enough participation to complete our projects.  I was so excited to see how many people showed up.  We have a great ward!  We did yard work for two single sisters.  Both yards needed a lot of work an I was so impressed to see how much we were able to accomplish.
Here are the few pictures that I took (Sorry for the ones that are sideways.  I still can't figure out how to turn them.)
Chase
Shauna and Tricia
Marci
Becky, Nancy and Dean
Rex
Reta, Nicole, Christa and Orion
Brandon
Patrick
Teresa
Esther, Jamie, April, Kaylie, and Mariah
The day was a success!  Those yards looked great and they were able to trim some of the roses bushes at the church.  We finished our project with a lunch.  So thankful for all those that came and helped and endured the heat.  I think it's safe to say that we were all hot and tired by the time we were done.

One Last Office Prank

We had to have one more fun office prank before Carrie left.  So, we conjured up a plan to fill her desk with balloons and build a wall to keep them all in.  Dave quickly got to work building the wall and I came in loaded with balloons....a LOT of balloons.  I blew up hundreds of balloons and filled her desk as best as I could before I ran out.  I stopped to buy more the next morning and headed to work.  Much to my surprise, she beat me in.  This is how I found her when I got there.  The wall was already down and there were balloons everywhere!

Since Dave wasn't at work Carrie and I thought we should relocate all the balloons to his desk so we built a wall and filled it to the brim.

We got some good use out of these balloons.  Dave managed to get to work way before me the next morning and guess what I found...yes, that's correct, all of the balloons had been moved to my desk.  Man did that plan backfire on me.  It was a fun week and we certainly got some good use out of those balloons.  Sure going to miss having Carrie there.  Just not the same without my "partner in crime".
