Star Student

This week Hannah is the Star Student at school. We got to put together a big poster with pictures of her that is hanging in her class room. She wanted a picture of her when she was a baby, one of her dancing and her school picture from last year. We cut out her name in big letters and put the pictures on. She finished decorating it with stickers. It turned out good. I should have taken a picture of it. Bailey and I got to go to school with her. Hannah talked about the pictures on her poster and then I got to tell the class why Hannah is special in our family. Her class got to ask her questions and she answered all of them. These are a few of the questions and answers that were given.
Q. What is your favorite food?
A. Broccoli

Q. What is your favorite day of the week?
A. Monday

Q. What is your favorite shape?
A. Triangle

Q. What is your favorite holiday?
A. Halloween (must be fresh on her mind)

It was cute to hear all of their questions and how she answered each of them. She got tell them all about Bailey as well. So glad that I could be there with her for this day.

These are some random pictures that show what a fun little girl Hannah is. She makes me laugh all the time. Sure do love this girl!

1st Tooth

Look who finally got her first tooth..our sweet little Bailey. You can barely see it in the picture but trust me, it's there. Since it's taken me so long to post she has another tooth, right next to this first one. What a big girl!

Peaches

We got a bushel of peaches and I was excited to make some jam. I only do this every few years. Conference weekend was the best time for me to tackle this big job. I turned on conference and got to work. After two days of making jam I ended up with 72 jar of rasberry-peach jam. All bottled and put up for some gift giving. Woooohooooo! What a big job to get done and I'm happy to not be doing at the last minute.
We had extra peaches when I was done making jam so Scott requested a peach pie. I got on the internet and found a delicious recipe. It was actually easier than I thought it would be (I cheated and used a frozen pie crust).

I looked out the window and what did I see.......

Hannah and I found this guy hanging out on our front door. She's learning all about insects at school so she was super excited to check him out. He was HUGE! Kind of cool to be able to get such a good look. Hannah wanted me to catch him so she could take him for show and tell but I wasn't having any part of that. YUCKY!

Tubby Time!

Our little Bailey has outgrown her baby tub so we decided it was time to move her into the big tub. I wasn't sure how it was going to go but she really liked it. It took her a minute to figure out that she could put her hands in and splash the water. We have tried putting her in the bath with Hannah and she screams the entire time. As long as she is in the tub by herself she is a happy girl.

First Day of School

My little girl has started Kindergarten. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Hannah is more than ready for school. She loved preschool last year and I know that she will love Kindergarten this year. Scott took her to her first day of school and I picked her up. I hope that she always enjoys going to school. I was at work so I had Scott take a few pictures. She makes these silly faces and poses lately so this is what we got.....

I love these two girls! Hannah is a great big sister and helps take good care of Bailey. Bailey loves Hannah and is always sure to keep a close eye on her big sister. So cute! We are lucky to have these two little ladies in our home.

A "zoo"pendus day

Jackie invited us to go Hogle Zoo with her and Jackson. I loaded up the girls and headed to the zoo. It was a super hot day but we had a good time. This was our first trip to the zoo this year and we were glad to be there with Jackie and Jackson. Hannah was excited to go and see the animals. Bailey was happy to hang out in her stroller.
Bailey and Hannah - Waiting for Jackie and Jackson

Jackie's zoo pass got us all in and we all got to ride on the carousel. Hannah LOVED it and I think the two little ones even enjoyed the ride.

I love this picture of Hannah. Big cheesy smile and all!
Not sure who was more excited, Jackie or Jackson.....

They are building a new exhibit and Hannah found these toys to play on. She was having a good time playing in the dirt while Jackie and I watched the monkeys.
I was happy that we got to see the dinosaurs. They were very cool! I couldn't convince Hannah to get close to any of them so this is the only picture she would take with them. I had to hurry and snap it because she certainly wasn't going to stand there very long. My little Hannah can be a timid girl. She kept asking if they were real.
The babies were little troopers to hang out in the heat. They must have been so warn out from seeing all the animals and riding on the carousel because they both passed out in the strollers. I have to say that I think these kids are pretty darn cute.
A big thanks to Jackie for taking us to the zoo. We all had a great time and we will have to go again.
