Spring Dance Rehearsal

Tonight was the practice to get ready for the spring dance recital. Hannah and Christian are in the same class again. They both enjoy dancing and it's fun for Lina and I to have our kids do activities together. You never know what you will get with these two. They both did a great job tonight and we are looking forward to their big recital in a couple of weeks.
Hannah Kay posing for the camera (she's pretty cute!)
Christian - He's one cool kid!

I had to throw in this picture of Bailey. I love to watch her smile in her sleep and I finally caught in on camera.
Bailey Kiyoko - She must be having a good dream.

Blowing Bubbles

Hannah and Abby had a little play date and took advantage of the good weather we had this day. They were out playing on the swings, blowing bubbles, running around, and giggling. I loved to hear the sounds of them playing. It's great to have someone close to the same age so close by. Such a nice day and wouldn't you know that it rained and snowed the next day. We are looking forward to more sunshine so we can play outside again.

My Dad

My dad and uncle rode in the Salt Lake Bike Marathon. I drug out of bed at the crack of dawn to see him off at the start of the race. It was a cold and wet morning but they went for it anyway. My pictures are out of order....haven't figured out this blogging thing yet.

Here they are after they finished the race. They both did a great job and finished in a better time than we thought they would. My mom, aunt, and I were all there to cheer them on as they came to the finish line.
Here they come! They are the two in front.

We are so proud of my dad. We love to be there to see him off and watch him finish these rides. He's an inspiration to all of us. We LOVE you Granda Mestek!

Easter Take II

After church we had my family all come over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. We had our fingers crossed that it would not rain on us. As soon as everyone arrived we got the kids ready to go out and find eggs.
This is a random picture of Bailey and my mom. I figured I better take a quick picture of her so we can remember her first Easter.
The four younger cousins getting ready for the "hunt". Ian, David, Hannah and Christian all had a great time and were so fun to watch. As soon as we let them loose they took off running. Hannah tried to make sure that she wasn't taking too many so if she found a bunch she would only take a few and leave the rest. Once she realized that everyone else was just grabbing them she stopped being so polite. Christian was running around and kept saying, "I hit the jackpot!". Too funny! I think all the kids got plenty of eggs and had a good time
The kids are showing off their baskets full of eggs! Thanks to the older cousins, Andrew and Hope for hiding the eggs for us.

It turned out to be a great afternoon visiting, eating, and laughing. I love to watch/listen to the cousins when they get together. We have a pretty big age gap in the cousins. We have one that is 21, two that are 19, one that is 12, one that is 8, one that is 5, and two that are 4 and cute Bailey that is only 2 1/2 months. So I love that my older nieces and nephews will play with the little ones. Hannah loves to spend time with all her cousins. All of the kids were spoiled and we all have way too much candy in our houses! All in all, I would say it was a great day!

Easter morning

Easter was a busy day at our house. Scott got up bright and early and cooked a yummy breakfast for us and his dad and stepmom. We were so glad they could join us to celebrate Grandpa Layton's birthday and Easter. Hannah was so excited to have them over and even got to enjoy a little "snuggle" time with Grandpa. While we were waiting for them to come Hannah was holding Bailey and did such a great job that she put her to sleep. She is a good big sister!

My cute Hannah putting her little sister to sleep. She sat there and rocked back and fourth. Bailey loved having her big sister hold her and talk to her. So sweet!!!
Here are the girl's Easter baskets....just waiting for them to wake up.

What a fun filled day for us. After Grandpa left we got ready for church and for round two of our Easter celebration.

We took the girls for their first pictures together and man did they turn out cute. Bailey was not happy to have her pictures taken but they did a great job with her. Hannah, on the other hand, was happy to pose and show off. Scott and I are so lucky to have two cute little girls.
