Bring your child to work day 2012

My work had a bring your daughters and sons to work day this year.  Hannah got to come spend the day at work with me.  She got there a little early and stayed longer with me.  It was fun to have her there with me.  She colored while she waited for the day to start.
The kids all gathered in the conference room and played a getting to know you game so they could learn each other's name.  Then they went on a tour of the office and had some different people talk to them along the way.

The Pferdners - Gavin, Kate, Ely, and Justin
Pferdner's in the back and Stephanie Boynton's daughter (I can't remember her name)

Such a fun day with the kids in the office.  After taking a tour they got to make some posters and then went on a walk down to the fountains.  They had pizza for lunch.  I love seeing everyones kids and I loved getting to spend the day with Hannah.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My!

Scott and I took the girls to the zoo and got to see all the new animals.  It was a beautiful day!  We went before it got too hot.  Hannah loved seeing all the animals and walking around.  Bailey, not so much.  She cried at all of the animals and wanted to stay in her stroller.  The stroller is her safe haven when we are out and she's nervous or scared.  Silly girl, I hope she grows out of this phase soon.

Where's Hannah?  She was hiding in this fun log.

Me and my girls.  Hanging out in the Bird's nest.

We will have to go again and see if Bailey does any better.  I think I'll wait for it to cool down a bit before we go back.  The new exhibits were all very cool!  I loved all of them.  It's fun to have bears again.

Kindergarten Graduation

Most of Hannah's class is on the top two rows.
Hannah had her Kindergarten graduation on the 23rd of May.  Mrs. Haslam and Mrs Schmidt did a great job.  The kids learned some fun songs about the things they learned this year.

Mrs. Haslam - Such a good teacher!

Hannah had had an incredible year.  She learned to write and read and do some math.  We are so proud of her.  I asked Hannah a few questions to help us remember the year.

Her favorite thing about kindergarten is that she got to make new friends and she got to learn and play every day.
Her favorite number is 6
Favorite color is pink
Favorite food is the Pink Stuff (Salmon) and at the bottom of her list are cauliflowers and peas
She will miss her friends the most

She is looking forward to 1st grade and can't wait to have lunch at school.
